Support for parents in keeping children safe, mental health and wellbeing

Being a parent or carer is not always easy. We all need support at times. Below are some websites and organisations that can offer support.

This is done by providing information, advice, guidance, and support.

CYP Drug and Alcohol Service

NTRP is a dedicated service for anyone living in North Tyneside who is experiencing problems with drugs and alcohol, including children and young people. Telephone and group support via video calling are still available.

Care and Connect is a service  in North Tyneside for adults to provide advice and support to stay independent. Support is provided by telephone or face to face in community settings.

The Service offers tailored and detailed knowledge of the local care and support system and information and access to the Council's adult social care system, where needed.

YoungMinds Parents’ Helpline is a free, confidential helpline for any adult who is concerned about the emotional problems, behaviour or mental health of a child or young person up to the age of 25.

North Tyneside Carers’ Centre is a charity offering support and information for carers in North Tyneside, including Young Carers. Their advice line is open as usual for carers to contact for advice and support.

Anxious Minds

Counselling and support services, including providing early intervention for young people. Centres are closed but the public are still able to talk to a trained counsellor via telephone or can get support by joining the Facebook group.
